My name is Rachelle Swanson…

the author and editor of Lucky Gurl Syndrome, and thanks for taking the time to read my blog!

I’ve always felt that fashion is a powerful tool, a beautiful culmination of so many forces at play: art, politics, culture, religion, and individualism. What I feel most passionate about however, is how fashion can be used as a tool to create the world we want to live in. A world we’re all lucky to live in.

I’ve had the fortune of obtaining a B.S. in Textiles, Fashion Merchandising, and Design from the University of Rhode Island. I now work as a store stylist at a boutique in Boston. During my education, a passion was ignited in me to somehow contribute to creating a more compassionate world, using fashion as my vessel. I am a firm believer that by shifting our collective mindset towards the fashion industry, we can transform the harmful narratives fashion has written in our world. Lucky Gurl Syndrome was born from this vision as a way to connect with a broader audience and share this passion. To indulge together in the love of all things clothing and style, and fashion, while cultivating a conscious consumption culture of sustainability and compassion.

So I thank you for taking the time to look over my blog, and I encourage you to think about what ways you can leave an impact on creating a world we’re lucky to live in for generations to come.

After all, We’re all lucky!

Nice to meet you,
